阿育吠陀Ayurveda;一個來自不同國度的語言,看似很難理解,其實我們生活中像是對身體屬性,藥草特性等觀念,在阿育吠陀中也有類似的架構,而像是使用精油按摩與舒壓、瑜伽等,在阿育吠陀中都有相關的應用。

阿育吠陀Ayurveda是梵文;生命Ayur 與知識Veda 兩個字的結合,其內容就跟梵文原本的意思一樣,是關於生命的知識,結合飲食、藥理、心理、心靈、哲學等探討如何使人健康的科學。

其中對於健康的看法,認為身體與心靈是一樣重要的,身體的病痛無法使人快樂有活力,相對的,心理狀況不好時,也會造成外在身體的不適,只有在身心都健康時,才能使人的靈安穩的在身體這個容器裡面。而人不舒服;是因為身體的元素失去平衡了,到底哪些是基本的元素呢?

Ayurveda; a language from different countries seems to be difficult to understand. In fact, Ayurveda already there in our life. Such as the use of essential oil massage, essential oil for relaxing, yoga, etc., are part of applications in Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is in Sanskrit; the combination of the words Ayur and the word Veda, the content of which is the same as the original meaning of Sanskrit. Ayur means life, and Veda means knowledge. It is about the knowledge of life. Its science combines diet, pharmacology, psychology, spirituality, philosophy, etc. to explore how to make people healthy.

Among them, the Ayurvedic view of health is that the physical body and the spiritual mind both are equally important. A healthy person is on a good balance of both body and mind. The illness of the body cannot make people happy and energetic. In contrast, when the psychological condition is not good, it will also cause external body discomfort. Body is like a container for the soul; only when the body is doing good, the mind will be calm. When people are uncomfortable; that is because the elements of the body are out of balance. There are five basic elements.

古代印度的知識概念裡,除了外在的宇宙環境之外,人的體內也有一個宇宙

五個宇宙元素包含ether空間、air氣、fire火、water水和earth土,各個元素除了在外在環境中有直接代表的元素之外,同時也表示人的感覺、行動及器官,可參考以下表格。

The five cosmic elements include ether, air, fire, water, and earth. The elements directly represented in the external environment, besides, each element also represents human feelings, actions and organs. Refer to the following table.

三種基本 (體質) 構成 Tridosha

五種元素互相搭配之下,形成三種基本構成,分別是Vata風構成、Pitta火構成 和Kapha土構成每個人身體都同時含有這三種構成,每種構成有其外顯的特性以及代表的人體器官和組織,但依照構成比例差異,形成偏向某一構成的體質,在體質或是思緒上;較容易顯現相關特性。

五種元素的搭配形成三種構成及其特性;

The five elements are combined with each other to form three Doshas: Vata; ether and air composition, Pitta; fire and water composition and Kapha; water and soil composition. Each body contains these three Doshas at the same time but in different percentage, each of which has its explicit characteristics to the human body, like organs and tissues. According to the difference in elements composition ratio, every person’s feature is biased and which is easier to show relevant characteristics.

The combination of five elements forms three components and their characteristics;

恢復健康是找回平衡

To find a balance and restore the health

第一段提到人體不舒服、不健康是因為失去平衡,舉例來說,若是Pitta火構成的人;因為火元素太強失去平衡,在身體方面可能會有胃酸逆流(火燒心)的問題,心理方面可能或出現易怒的狀況,吃太多火屬性的食物,像是蒜頭,則會使狀況更差。

在阿育吠陀裡會藉由習慣調整、飲食調整、心靈引導等,針對不同體質,實行不同的方法,建議不同的食物,使身體恢復平衡。

The first paragraph mentions that the human body is uncomfortable and unhealthy because of the loss of balance. For example, if it is a person composed of Pitta with a lot of fire element; because the fire element is too strong to lose balance, there may be a problem of stomach acid reflux (fire heart) in the body, a psychological situation may be easy to be angry. Also, they tend to overeat fire-based food, like garlic, when the Pitta body is out of balance by eating the wrong food, it will make the situation worse.

In Ayurveda, different methods are adopted for different physiques through habit adjustment, diet adjustment, and spiritual guidance. Different foods are recommended to restore the balance of Tridosha.
